How It Works
The process is the same across the Guide. The requirements are separate for each institution type.
All required public data must exist.
Use the full eligible register for that institution type.
Apply only the published standard and pass marks.
A second reviewer independently repeats the check.
Expire every result and repeat the next year.
Evidence order
| Priority | Source | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Government, statutory regulator, inspectorate or court | Legal status, sanctions, external review and official outcomes |
| 2 | Recognized examination, awarding or professional authority | Only the results or qualifications it directly administers |
| 3 | Institution’s public website | Fees, admissions, programmes, policies and contact routes |
| Never | Private files, marketing claims, rankings, news, testimonials or social media | Not accepted as decision evidence |
Strong results in one area cannot offset a failed requirement elsewhere. Institutions do not apply, provide private evidence or receive waivers.
